February 26 PACK LINE DEFENSE I have posted samples of the Pack Line defense e-book and screen cast. The ebook sample is the Table of Contents, Philosphy, and overview of the defense and the screen cast portion is our rules for trapping a post feed or a baseline drive . February 25 TAKING CARE OF THE BASKETBALL When Coach Ed Schilling was the guest for our first webinar for HoopClinics back at the end of December, he promised that he would do a follow up webinar with us. We have scheduled that follow up for Monday March 2 at 9:00 PM EST. The first webinar focused on individual moves and received a lot of positive feedback. This one will be focused on drills.
Once you register, you will be sent to a page with a video clip of Coach Schilling talking about taking care of the basketball. It will take about 10 seconds for you to be redirected to the video. You will be able to listen and ask Coach Schilling questions relating to the topic of his newest DVD, "Mandatory Drills." There is no cost to listen to or participate in the webinar.
February 24 AN IDEA FOR A SET PLAY ENTRY This week's offensive idea is a different entry into whatever you run against man to man defense. It can be used to set up a ball reversal and a staggered down screen if that is something that you use or are looking for a way to use.

February 17 STEVE ALFORD'S WHEELING CONCEPT Here is a video clip of Steve Alford teaching the motion offense concept of "wheeling" at a coaches clinic. Even if you are not a motion team, it is a good concept to incorporate in some way into your offensive scheme. It is a screen the screener concept that makes it tough on the defense. February 16 PRESSURE FREE THROW DRILL Finishing out a game is a tough thing to teach and practice, but being able to do it is essential. I have posted some thoughts a while back regarding end of game clock management. It is tough to simulate the pressures of a game in practice, but here is a drill you might consider using to simulate pressure free throws late in a game:

February 9 JIM BOEHEIM'S ZONE WING COVERAGE This video is a quick illustration of how Jim Boeheim teaches coverage of the point to wing pass in his 2-3 zone. I have been working on the site to improve its usability. I have changed the links to blue since that is more of a traditional link color to make them easier to find, and have been working on the following pages:Animated Plays--to add links to the diagrams and videos of plays to they are all together.Drills--to collect links to the drills resources we have all in one place.
Videos--to make it easier to find and navigate the videos that we have indexed.
I am still working in all three areas, but if you have any suggestions to make it easier for you or for other coaches to navigate the site, please let me know!
