5. Contest every shot
- Contest a right hand shooter with the left hand
- Contest a left hand shooter with the right hand
- Allow no rhythm shots
- Allow no open shots that would be rated as a "3"
6. Dive on or chin all loose balls or Block out, pursue the ball, and chin the rebound
- Post—Root out and create space, Perimeter chuck and go
- Rebounding starts on the shot, not on the miss.
- Don’t block out the shooter as hard as the non-shooters
- Practice blocking out of helps, traps, screens
- don’t block out a team’s fullback, double team one of the others
- Can pin them under the basket on blockout
