This is the speech that Coach Valvano gave at the ESPYs less than two months prior to losing his battle with cancer. The speech was his acceptance of being awarded the initial Arthur Ashe Courage and Humanitarian Award. Regardless of the fact that it was given in 1993 and how many times you have seen it, there are some great messages in this 11 minute speech that are worth hearing again.
