Whether you are a basketball player on an organized team, on several organized teams, or someone who just loves to play on your own, we definitely have something that all basketball players can use to improve their games and learn more about how to play basketball! And, we will continue to add tools to the players section every day, so we hope that you will come back often!
Our number one advice for anyone who plays on a school team is to follow your coach's program and instructions first, and use some of our baketball drills and ideas in addition to what your coach says, or when you are working on your game on your own. Anyone who plays on an organized team owes it to your teammates to stay with the team's program. A team can only succeed if everyone is working towards a common goal that is established by your basketball coach.
Just as a quick introduction to what we have, we will go down the line and point out the sections that basketball players will be interested in .
In our basketball videos section, the first tab that comes up is our Individual Skills tab that offers some basketball drills that you can do on your own to improve your game. Some of them, you need another person to work with, but for most of them, they can be done on your own. In the same section, we have some messages about attitude, leadership. We have two messages from Michael Jordan: one is how his failures lead to his success, and the other discussed how most people never saw the work that he put in behind the scenes.
We have a basketball fundamentals section that has some great information (which we will be adding to as time goes by) on shooting a basketball, cutting and screening, ballhandling and dribbling, passing and catching, and posting.
Our basketballl workouts are designed to help you improve at shooting a basketball and basketball dribbling skills so that you can eventually apply your improved abilities in 5 on 5 games. The workout is designed to be competitive (against yourself or you can set it up to compete against a teammate or friend) so that you will have fun while you are working hard. The parts of the workout are the warmup, technique shooting drills (games), dribbling and driving games (drills), game pace basketball shooting drills, and toughness basketball shooting drills (games). We use the terms games and drills interchangeably in the competitive workout because each drill is designed to be a game with you competing against yourself and your past performances.
We have teleseminars that are recorded interviews with coaches featuring advice from their specific specialty areas. Click here to register and then see a list of the the various coaches and topics that we have posted
